The Miura was a breakthrough for Lamborghini in 1966. With a revolutionary mid-engine layout, this was the fastest sports car of its time. Still considered one of the most beautiful cars ever produced, the term “supercar” was coined for the Miura – an ultra-high performance road car that adapted racing technology clad in a high design body.
The Miura Roadster was well-received but never put into production. Instead this exceptional car endured a strange fate. It was converted into a showcase model for zinc parts, and it was shown worldwide. The roadster was recently bought by Adam Gordon, who plans to restore it to its original condition. This is the first Lamborghini to sell for over a million dollars.
